Once upon a time ... tales begin this way. Madonna di Campiglio at the end of the eightinth century was a summer "mountain establishment" loved by the austrian aristocracy. The Alpina hotel was not there at this time, it was a "lovely" cowhouse. On 1941 Faustino Aldrighetti, born in 1887, began the activity opening a rooming house. It was the first step to the Hotel Alpina. 1955, Romeo and Emma Aldrighetti inaugurate the Pensione Alpina, 20 beds. The picture shows the "Alpina" at the end of the Fifties. In that period the "Alpina" did have already had the first widening. ... in the meantime Madonna di Campiglio was growing ... Contrary to what it happens now, the Sixties were particulary snowy ... In the year 1962 the "Alpina" was widened again, many improvement in and outside were made to adapt it at the always different tourism requirements. Up to 1988 we worked to improve the offers of the "historical" structure, but it began to accuse structural problems. The "Alpina" needed adjustments due to the new hotel classifications rules.
